Tanya Miller is a fun, passionate, energetic and enthusiastic teacher who has been teaching since 2003.
​
She started dancing at 10 years old in Mullumbimby, NSW, took over teaching senior classes in Irish, Jazz and Broadway Jazz at 17 years old before teaching recreational dance in local schools and opening up her own dance studio at 19 years old which ran for four years before she moved up to the Gold Coast!
During her school and uni years, she assisted her mother in creating, producing and becoming lighting director in the Brunswick Valley Combined Schools Showcase for eight years, recording and editing musical tracks and assistant teaching over 800 students each show between Byron Bay and Tweed Heads
as well as performing with her high school and soloist opportunities.
Following on her Broadway show dreams, Tanya was part of the Northern Rivers Under The Big Top Arena Shows for 2 years, performing in featured singing groups as well as her own solo performance.
She has attended performance workshops with Rachael Beck, and was part of 130 students selected to be part of a three week musical theatre workshop and arena production in Brisbane, learning from mentors Simon Gallagher, Julie Anthony and Simon Burke, Ricki-Lee Coulter, Nancye Hayes, Angela Toohey, Simon Lind and directed by American director Craig Schaefer, performing over 3 shows in both group and solo performances.
Embracing a new venture in 2017, she joined the Burlesque Dolls classes, taking part of studio shows and teaching before becoming an instructor for Choo La La Burlesque Australia.
Tanya has been the director, producer and choreographer of Studio Village Dance since 2018,
is part of the QLD operations team and an instructor for Choo La La Burlesque Australia,
is a performer and coach with the Studio Village Christmas Carols, has taught with Tahnee & The Treehouse
and Stage Door Academy, and while she still loves to perform, teaching holds her heart
and she has continued to pursue her teaching passion right to this day!

Offering styles in jazz, lyrical, Irish, broadway jazz, musical theatre, acro, contemporary, jazz funk,
technique, heels and burlesque - she has taught all styles and ages from 4 years up to 75 years!

Tanya is Acrobatic Arts Certified, holds her Certificate IV in Dance & Teaching,
a Bachelor of Contemporary Music, and an Advanced Diploma in Event Management.
​
She is continuously studying new styles to further her own knowledge and
expertise in the dance field and loves being a crazy big kid!

She is a mum to a cheeky little munchkin who also loves to dance and keeps her on her toes!
